Vice President Mike Pence Rejects To Invoke 25th Amendment
The House of Representatives approved a motion asking Vice President Mike Pence to strip President Donald Trump of his executive powers. The vote was taken Tuesday with a heated debate on both sides of the aisle.
This largely symbolic move cannot compel the vice president mike pence to act, but it appears to have been approved in an effort to pressure him.
Democrats are pressing for the president to be impeached over the infamous protest on Capitol Hill. They blame him for the actions of some wicked people, despite his calls for them to return to their homes in peace.
President Trump criticized the removal efforts by suggesting Democrats further divide the nation trump also said this is just a continuation of “the greatest and most vicious witch hunt in the history of our country.”
“We don’t like it at all: incitement to insurrection, treasonous activity,” stated House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. “And if you are associating yourself with that as the proper execution of the President’s duties, you are associating yourself with sedition and treason.”
The Vice President went on to note that the 25th Amendment should only be enacted if the President was ineligible or had a disability that rendered him unfit for service. He urged Democrats to refrain from such actions that would divide the country and instead encourage unity throughout the nation.
