The White House is within reach of Biden as he assumes the lead in Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden took the lead over President Trump in the battleground states of Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Three days after polls closed, Biden has a 253 to 232 lead in the state-by-state Electoral College vote that determines the winner, Winning Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes would put Joe Biden over the 270 he needs to secure the presidency.
Joe Biden would also win the election 2020 if he prevails in two of the three other key states where he held narrow leads on Friday: Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. Like Pennsylvania, all three were still processing ballots on Friday.
In both Pennsylvania and Georgia, Biden bypassed Trump n the strength of mail-in ballots cast in urban democrats strongholds such as Philadelphia and Atlanta.
Campaign General Manager Matt Morgan said in a statement on Friday that elections in Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania had suffered irregularities and that Trump would eventually win in Arizona.
"This election has not ended," he said. "Biden is counting on these counties for his false claims about the White House, but once the elections are over, President Trump will be re-elected."
Election officials in those states said they were not aware of any error.
