The United States government is collaborating with Texas to build three mass vaccination sites

The federal government is partnering with Texas to build three mass vaccination sites, after announcing last week that it would build such sites in California, federal health officials said during a press conference on Wednesday.

Each site will be able to administer 10,000 injections per day, according to Jeffrey Zentz, the White House Response Coordinator for COVID-19, and should begin administering the injection by February 22.

The sites will be in the Dallas and Houston regions and managed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), according to a state press release. One of the locations will be AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

In an announcement with the New York governor, Zentes said the federal government also plans to open vaccination centers in the Brooklyn and Queens districts of New York City on February 24, each of which will be able to administer about 3,000 vaccines per day.
