The Republican Party is moving to rein in emergency powers
Republicans are looking into long battles about curbing the president's emergency powers, leading to possible clashes with both the White House and Democrats.
President Trump on Friday objected to Congress trying to prevent a state of national emergency on the US-Mexico border wall. With neither vote expected to overtake the veto, the president is preparing to win the first round of his battle with lawmakers.
But Republicans are already focusing on making it easy to end emergency announcements in the future - an interesting tour.
