Republican governors criticize Biden's gun control efforts. Some promise to fight

More than a handful of Republican conservatives have criticized President Joe Biden's gun-control plans as a full-fledged government scale, and some have reportedly challenged its momentum with the legislation of their own, according to reports.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed a new bill Thursday that would block any federal restrictions against the Second Amendment in the state. On the same day in Tennessee, Governor Bill Lee signed a bill allowing people in the state to carry guns openly or to conceal them without a permit.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt on Thursday criticized Biden's weapons-control plans as "of full federal scope" and pledged to "fight."

Biden early Thursday unveiled a series of enforcement measures aimed at curbing gun violence and tightening firearms controls, including asking the Justice Department to propose a rule to stop `` ghost weapons '' or firearms.
