John Bolton's testimony echoes Monica Lewinsky
Twenty-one years ago, a former White House intern, Monica Lewinsky, was at the center of a tug of war as to whether she would testify in the trial of President Bill Clinton, a Democrat.
Now it is Bolton, who was fired last September from his job as a national security adviser at the White House and is the potential witness to the impeachment trial. Democrats believe he has damaging information and wants to testify.
Mitch McConnell, says that he wants to follow the same initial procedures that were used in the Bill Clinton impeachment trial, which were adopted unanimously by both parties.
