Joe Biden will speak with workers and employers on Wednesday about how the coronavirus is affecting them as he prepares to face his top priority when he takes office: the renewed pandemic in the United States.
The Democrat pledged to work quickly to provide more resources to tackle the health crisis that has claimed more than 268,000 lives.
The United States leads the world in terms of the number of daily injuries and the number of reported deaths.
Joe Biden told the New York Times in an interview published Tuesday night that he will try to help resolve the month-long standoff in Congress between Republicans and Democrats over a stimulus package for companies affected by the shutdowns, as well as the millions who have lost their jobs.
