Israel claims to have hit sites in Gaza after launching two rockets on Tel Aviv
The Israeli army said it attacked more than 100 targets in Gaza on Friday night after two rockets were fired at Tel Aviv, raising tensions less than a month before the re-election of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Residents reported hearing explosions, but no injuries or injuries were reported. The army said that none of the rockets had been intercepted by the military defense system of the Israeli Iron Dome, although the warning systems had functioned properly.
The Israeli army claimed to believe that Hamas was responsible. Israeli media reported that their initial assessment was that the group launched the rockets by mistake.
