Holy bible signed by President Trump sells for $325 on eBay
A Holy bible purportedly signed by President Trump recently sold for $325 on eBay, Al.com reported on Tuesday.
The vendor, GraphwizardCollectibles, originally listed the Holy bible for $525 before shedding the price. The seller said that the Holy bible was signed by the president during a 2016 campaign rally and that the book would include a certification of authenticity.
WMC 5 Action News, a local affiliate, noted that the seller did not provide pictures of the certificate.
The Bible's sale came about a week after Trump signed Bibles for those impacted by a rash of tornadoes in Alabama that resulted in 23 fatalities. The president signed the books while visiting a Baptist church in Opelika that is operating as a disaster relief center.
"I enjoyed him coming," local volunteer Ada Ingram told reporters. "I believe it's a blessing. I'm sorry. The specific situation is bad. And there are going to be people who will say 'why did he come to my town?' I don't know why. I don't why the hurricane happened [either]. However there is a reason."
Al.com notes that lots of items signed by Trump have been sold on eBay. A book Trump signed for his mother and father sold for $25,000, and an inauguration program signed by Trump and Vice President Pence sold for just under $10,000.
