Former ex-senator senator David Boren has been charged with sexual misconduct
A former student at the University of Oklahoma claims that the former president of the university, David Boren, was touched and kissed several times inappropriately, almost a decade ago, when the man worked as a teaching assistant to the former governor and senator.
The charges against 29-year-old Jess Eddie appear to be at the heart of an investigation by Jones Day, one of the world's largest law firms, to investigate whether Boren sexually harassed his subordinates. Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation also opened an investigation.
Boren, 77, denied any inappropriate conduct in statements made by his lawyers, who confirmed Jones's investigations. Boren was a Democrat in the 1970s before working in the US Senate for more than 15 years. He was OU president from 1994 until he resigned last year and married his second wife for more than 40 years.
