Biden warns of backlash if North Korea escalates, but is open to diplomacy
President Joe Biden said Thursday that the United States remains open to diplomacy with North Korea despite its missile tests this week, but warned that there will be answers if North Korea makes things worse.
Biden said at his first White House press conference that Pyongyang's alleged ballistic missile tests violated UN Resolution 1718.
We are consulting with our allies and partners, and there will be answers if they decide to expand. "We will respond in this way," he said.
