President Joe Biden on Thursday abandoned his predecessor in wearing a mask in the Oval Office by signing health care enforcement measures.
“Since we are socially distanced, I think I can take my mask off and make this very brief announcement,” Biden said after reporters entered the Oval Office.
The president spoke to reporters for three minutes while signing off on enforcement measures, clearing his throat, and even coughing in his hand at some point.
Previously, Joe Biden wore his mask on two separate occasions in the Oval Office while signing orders and speaking to the American people.
On January 20, the day of his inauguration, Joe Biden wore a mask as he authorized the mask over federal property.
