Barr: Muller Report will be delivered to Congress by mid-April
The report by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III detailing his investigation of President Trump and Russia's election interference will be sent to Congress in mid-April, Attorney General William P. Barr said in a letter to lawmakers on Friday. that offered important new details about how the document will be made. Be edited before its public release.
“Everyone will soon be able to read it on their own,” Barr wrote.
In the letter, Barr also offered to testify before the Senate and House of Representatives judicial committees on May 1 and 2. It was not immediately clear if the legislators would agree with the hearings at that time.
Mueller's report marked the end of his 22-month investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 elections and possible coordination with any Trump associate. After Barr issued his summary on Sunday, the president called it "total exoneration."
