A Texas Democrat who has criticized White House immigration policies said recent photos of Border Guard installations in South Texas are misleading.

Representative Henry Cuellar (Democrat, Texas) suggested that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the agency that runs the Border Guard facility, creates the false impression that the facility in Donna, Texas, has been cleared of unaccompanied children. However, he said, these young men were simply transported to another nearby facility run by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the unaccompanied minors were spending less time in federal processing facilities.
