A report finds that only 3 percent of CEOs are worried about COVID-19

A mere 3 percent identified COVID-19 as their top worry, according to the CEO of management consultancy AlixPartners, even as the fear of being fired has risen sharply among C-suite executives in response to various disruptive forces threatening their businesses.

The 2022 AlixPartners Disruption Index, which surveys over 3,000 senior executives globally across multiple industries to find out what keeps them up at night, was previewed Dec. 27 in an interview with Yahoo Finance by AlixPartners CEO Simon Freakley.

In Freakley's opinion, a huge jump of 20 percentage points since last year is very significant because 72 percent of CEOs believe that their jobs are at risk.

All of these concerns were among the top 10, he added, as well as issues like artificial intelligence, new regulation, environmental issues, and how companies can be responsible but still profitable.
